Anamcara Foundation
We are delighted to introduce the Center for Wholism’s non-profit arm, the Anamcara Foundation. The term “anamcara” is Celtic in origin and translates to “friend of the soul.” Anamcara is a 501c3 public charitable foundation committed to integrative healing and the promotion of self-sufficiency on all levels. Our work sits at the intersection of equal access to healthcare, food security, environmental wellbeing, education, and research.
While we’re still in the early days of dreaming and planning, some programs are already underway:
-
Pay It Forward: This flagship program aims to provide continuity of care for vulnerable patients. In its first year, Anamcara raised over $10,000-funds which directly supported no-to-low-cost care for Center for Wholism patients.
-
Community Courses: We are actively developing our wellness offerings for the wider community to include classes in self massage, Reiki, meditation, breath work, stress resilience, nutrition, and sound healing. Anamcara currently sponsors free classes (donations welcome) with White Crane Tai Chi, Maxwell House Yoga, Hoosier Heartland Meditation Group, and the Mankind Project.
